| It's also a more durable setup than the tapped fitting. I know many have had success using the NPT fittings, but the cover is very thin and I didn't trust it. Woody's:

 Also remove the fittings on the exhaust valve cover and tap the ports to 3/8 NPT. Then they can be plugged with these for a nice clean look:
